Born with an innate sense of justice and a passion for helping others, Amy Glasser grew up in Silver Spring, MD, where she was inspired by the strength, resilience and diversity of her community. Amy excelled in academics and demonstrated an early interest in helping others and was driven by a desire to make a positive impact on society. 

Amy pursued a degree in Counseling at University of Maryland, College Park. During her undergraduate studies, Amy took a class in law and everything clicked. Amy went on to attend University of New Mexico School of Law, where she earned a Juris Doctor degree.  Amy excelled in law school and was a member of the Moot Court Team and tutored incoming law students.  Her time in law school further solidified her commitment to advocating for justice and fairness. 

Legal Career and Specialization 

Upon passing the bar exam in New Mexico, Amy began her legal career representing plaintiffs in personal injury matters, as well as contractual disputes.   She then transitioned to representing both plaintiffs and defendants.  The last fifteen years of her legal career, Amy has worked as an insurance defense attorney.  Throughout her career, Amy has held an unwavering reputation for meticulous preparation and persuasive advocacy.   

In addition to passing the bar in New Mexico, Amy also took and passed the bar in her state of origin, Maryland, and in her current state of residency, Florida.  She is licensed to practice in the State and Federal Courts of all three states. 

Transition to Mediation 

Amy’s transition to mediation was driven by her belief in the power of collaborative problem-solving. She underwent extensive training in mediation techniques.  She is certified by the Supreme Court of Florida. 

Amy has worked towards countless successful resolutions, helping her clients find mutually acceptable solutions without the need for contentious court battles. Her approach is characterized by empathy, patience, and a deep understanding of the underlying issues that drive conflicts. She has mediated disputes in a wide range of areas, including personal injury, civil rights and construction defects.
